The Extraordinary wonders of a Doodle
if you were to take a look at a vibrant cartoon or a vivid illustration, you might be entertained, you might be delighted or furious.
At first sight, cartoon & illustration appears to be a foolish doodle, it surely can’t change the reality, surely can’t impact our lives.
The only thing challenging this feeling, or this hypothesis, is that there is an amazing amount of illustrations & cartoons that had a significant effect on our lives.
I’d like to show you some of the How's, Why's & When's, from my own perspective as an experienced illustrator & cartoonist, who's main focus is mostly on this topic.

Universal tolerance organization's conference
I have had the honor to receive the "Freedom of expression" cartoon award, to meet great people, and to give a speech at UTO's conference at Drammen, Norway.
This conference was special in many ways. Firstly, the unique gathering of world's experts regarding extremism and tolerance (economists, journalists, politicians, activists) - the quality of the speeches, presentations and panels was truly excellent, thought provoking and inspirational, I had a real privilege to have had the experience of listening to all of these unusual people (Take a look here)
Secondly, the remarkable award UTO Produced for the event - a replica of the Cyrus cylinder (link) as a symbol of freedom, respect for different people and different faiths, and the right of jews to return to Jerusalem (Shivat Zion).
and Thirdly, the warm welcome I was received with, that made me forget I was a visitor.

New Year, New decisions
Syria.
As the jewish new year approaches many of us here in Israel will be sitting down for the traditional meal of Rosh Hashanah.
Rosh Hashanah is the first day of "The Ten Days of Repentance". According to Judaism It is the new year for all people, In this day we are introspecting, we are examining our own ways and trying to improve them, we are striving to be better people.
I'd like to wish all of us to improve our ways before we enjoy our holidays, to see and love our neighbors as we see and love ourselves, to speak out for those who can't and to remind our leaders the meaning of Never-Again.
*Artwork inspired by the great Thiebaud
A king...
President Abbas, at the General Assembly, U.N 2013.
“Progress toward a just and lasting two-state solution cannot be made by pressing a green voting (button) in this hall, Nor does passing a resolution create a state where none indeed exists or change the reality on the ground... Today’s grand pronouncements will soon fade and the Palestinian people will wake up tomorrow and find that little about their lives have changed."
